Slideshow Package
How To
The Alpine Internet Slideshow package comes preconfigured onto your site to look as it does to the right. This guide will show you how to easily setup your own slideshow.
There are a couple of cautions with the slideshow. If your images are not all the same dimensions when you upload them, the slideshow isn't going to look as it does above with everything being very linear. You will want the dimensions to be the same when they are uploaded. Most simple image editors can do this without issue.
You will need to create a folder within the Site Explorer. Remember the path to the folder because you will need to know that in a step coming up. After creating the folder, edit the page within the folder and add the line shown below where you are going to want the slideshow to appear on the page. This line has to be on the page for the slideshow to work. You can edit the page to have whatever you want above and below the plugin call.

That single line makes the appropriate system calls to bring up all the images you are going to need to load into the slideshow itself.
After creating the folder and the page notice there is a menu item at the top called "Add-Ons." Some systems will have "Custom" or "Extensions" instead of "Add-Ons"

Click on this and you will see the slideshow option on the left hand menu of the screen.

Select the Slide Show Images option to bring up the new menu section.

This is where you will load up the images to be used for the slideshow. You will not be able to access the normal images directory from here and will have to upload all of the images, regardless if they were uploaded into the normal area. Uploading the images is the same, simply click on "New" and browse to the file location on your hard drive and select it. The folder assignment is critical. You will need to upload it to the newly created folder where you are going to host the slideshow from.
For example, if you created a new folder called Slideshow under a root folder called "Gallery" and were going to upload an image, your screen would end up looking like:

The rest is simply uploading all the images you want to appear on the page. The gallery is set up to be variable width and will display according to the dimensions of the content area of your page design. One thing to remember is the more pictures you have, and the higher quality they are, it will add significantly to the load time for dial and low-bandwidth customers.
