Browser Compatibility Statement
Alpine's Most Recent Statement Regarding Browser Compatibility
browser compatibility, standards support
Alpine produced designs completely support browsers that
support web standards. Most of these browsers are mature pieces
of software that have been around for a number of years.
Unlike many web designs that actually block users of "old" or "alternative" browsers (including designs used by some huge companies that shovel drifts of money into their website), Alpine websites will never block anyone. Period. The site may not look pretty. If they look at it in Netscape Navigator 4 it will be black and white and unstyled, though all the content will be completely accessible and legible.
Alpine will builds designs and software following the Yahoo
Graded Browser Support methodology and performs quality
assurance testing against currently supported "A" browser
grades at the time of release. Please review their
current list of "A" graded browsers at:
Alpine produced designs come with no warranty of compatibility
with unknown, pre-release, non-listed, or future browsers of
any kind. However, browser developers are realizing the
importance of standards support and all major developers have
moved rapidly in the direction of better interoperability and
compatibility.
Alpine software (such as Center Stage, Rainmaker, etc) will
support browsers that are added the the GBS list within one
month of their addition to this list.
